Nine-times Rally of Lebanon champion Roger Feghali kicked off his 2012 campaign in style, by winning the 2012 Spring Rally after a dominant drive onboard his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X R4, sponsored by Rayes Racing Parts.
Roger set the early pace of the rally by going 34 seconds faster than anybody else. Abdo, meanwhile suffered a crash during that same stage, he lost his front bumper and eventually had to retire from the Rally. Abdo, though, has put his Spring Rally issues behind him and is ready for upcoming events.
Things got a little bit close in the short SS2 and SS4 stages as Roger was 15 and 16 seconds ahead of Nicolas Amiouni in the other EVO X.
The other two stages were a walk in the park for Roger, he won the two of them; Thanks to his amazing driving capabilities and his Rayes Racing Parts sponsored EVO X, Roger was almost a minute faster than 2nd placed Nicolas Amiouni in SS3, and another 45 seconds clear of Chafic Boulos in SS5. His win in all stages bar SS2, meant that Roger is the overall winner of the 2012 Spring Rally.

After an amazing start in the 2012 MERC championship by finishing 3rd in Qatar, Nick went to finish 5th in Kuwait and collect valuable points as well as won the Group N category. Again with a very well studied drive and a lot patience, Nick benefited from the problems of the leaders and paved his way into a comfortable 5th place surpassing many local drivers. Nick is participating in the Middle East Rally Championship with big support from Rayes Racing Parts.

We would like to congratulate Nick and his team MotorTune for the continued success and hope that this will continue for the future.

The event saw Khalid Al Suwaidi wins for the first time in his career.

Rayes Competition and Synionic will be participating in a full hill climb season this year as we mentioned earlier.

The drivers that will represent the team in the competition will be:

  • Fady Hamad
  • Kamal Besharat (Jordan)
  • Dany Mazloum

Fady Hamad is an established driver in the Hill Climb championship and has been consistently finishing on the podium in the past couple of year in the FWD category.

Kamal Besharat participated in last year’s Falougha Hill Climb and is looking forward to participate this year.

Dany Mazloum was last year’s revelation in Bteghrine Hill Climb where he finished 5th overall on his first outing.

Rayes Competition will sponsor Mathieu Reboisson in this year’s Lebanese Rally and Hill Climb championships. Mathieu Reboisson drove a Rayes Competition Proto-type car last year in both the speed test and the Hill Climb championships and scored some impressive results finishing third, in Bteghrine and Der El Qamar.

This year though Mathieu will be driving a FWD drive car and he will be aiming to score some impressive results in the FWD and 2WD championships.

This participation came after months of preparation and studying and we will be working hard to prove ourselves in all competitions. On the other hand we and Synionic are planning to have a long and successful participation on both the local level and the international level.

We are pleased to inform you all that Rayes Competition and Synionic will be combining efforts in 2012 through the Lebanese and Middle East motorsport season. Synionic participated last year under the Synionic Rally Team and are looking this year to improve their results. In this context we as Rayes Competition will be preparing an EVO 9 R4 kit as the picture below shows the body of the car being stripped off and worked on. The car will be ready in the coming few weeks and we will also be preparing some big surprises in this course.

Nicolas Amiouni has made the Lebanese proud in Jordan again and won his first ever rally. The first Jordanian Rally saw the dominance of Roger Feghali in the opening stages but the big champion had to retire due to mechanical problems. The Lebanese drivers Amiouni and Georgiou both backed by Rayes Racing Parts battled for the win and raised the Lebanese flag high on the podium on Friday. Roger Feghali’s MotorTune made sure that they wont leave Jordan without a win similar to wins in the past couple of years, will continues the Jordanian championship with only on target, the win.
